Privacy Policy

1. Information collected by Inspirix

Inspirix does not collect data from the current version of RELIC ROLL. In this context, "collect" means transmitting data off the device in a way that allows Inspirix or a third party to access it for longer than necessary to service a real-time request.

The app contains no Inspirix backend, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, social login, or remote artificial-intelligence service. It does not build advertising profiles or use data from Photos for marketing.

2. Information processed and stored on your device

The following information may be processed locally to provide features you choose. Local processing is not developer collection because this information is not transmitted to Inspirix.

• Photo identifiers and capture dates: used to select eligible older photos, avoid unwanted repeats, and apply your date-range or exclusion choices.
• Museum records: selected photo references, guessed years, state, and notes used for your private collection.
• Look Later items: copies of screenshots you intentionally share to RELIC ROLL, together with reminder time and viewed status.
• Widget previews: strongly blurred, locally generated thumbnails stored in the protected App Group container so the Widget can display a private preview.
• Preferences: language, appearance, date range, excluded items, reminder settings, and similar app choices.
• Purchase access state: a local entitlement flag shared with the Widget and Share Extension after StoreKit verifies the lifetime purchase.

3. Permissions and your choices

• Photos: RELIC ROLL requests access so it can find and display older photos already on your device. iOS controls the authorized scope. You may choose Full Access, Limited Access, or deny access. With Limited Access, the app can only read items you select.
• Notifications: requested only in context when you choose a screenshot reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally on the device; RELIC ROLL does not use a push-notification server.
• You may change either permission at any time in iOS Settings > Apps > RELIC ROLL. Revoking a permission stops future access but does not automatically delete app-created local records; use the deletion controls described below.

4. Apple services and user-initiated sharing

RELIC ROLL uses Apple system services only as needed for app functions. Apple processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

• PhotoKit provides the photos and metadata within the scope you authorize. RELIC ROLL does not modify or delete the originals in Photos.
• StoreKit processes the optional one-time RELIC ROLL+ purchase and restoration. Apple handles your Apple Account and payment credentials. The app reads verified product, entitlement, and revocation status; it does not receive your card or bank details.
• UserNotifications schedules screenshot reminders on the device.
• When you intentionally share an exported memory card through the iOS share sheet, the destination you select may receive that item and will handle it under its own privacy practices.

5. Retention and deletion

• Museum entries, notes, exclusions, preferences, and Look Later items remain locally until you delete them, reset the relevant feature, or remove the app.
• Use the Museum and Look Later controls to remove individual records or saved screenshot copies. "Delete after viewing" removes only RELIC ROLL’s copy and its local reminder, never the original screenshot in Photos.
• Widget previews are derived local files and are replaced or removed as their source and Widget state change. Removing the Widget stops its display but does not by itself delete other app records.
• Deleting RELIC ROLL removes its app and extension containers from the device according to iOS behavior. Original photos and items you previously exported or shared remain where you saved them.
• Because RELIC ROLL has no account or Inspirix cloud storage, Inspirix cannot view, retrieve, or remotely delete your on-device content. A restored lifetime purchase restores access, not deleted local content.

6. Device security and backups

RELIC ROLL stores app content in iOS app or App Group containers protected by the operating system. You are responsible for protecting access to your device. Device or iCloud backup behavior, if enabled by you, is controlled by Apple and your system settings; any such Apple-managed backup is not an upload to Inspirix.

7. Information you send to support

If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. This support information is not sent automatically by the app. We use it to answer the request, investigate a problem, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We retain it only as reasonably necessary for those purposes, then delete or de-identify it. Do not send private photos or screenshots unless they are necessary and you intend to share them with us.

8. Sale, advertising, and tracking

We do not sell or rent personal information. RELIC ROLL does not share information for targeted advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use the AppTrackingTransparency permission.

9. Children’s privacy

RELIC ROLL is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent information to support, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when RELIC ROLL changes or when legal or platform requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here with a new effective date. If a future version adds cloud processing, analytics, advertising, or another form of developer collection, we will update the app disclosures and this policy before or when that processing begins, as required.
